Kids love to play in outdoor playhouses where they can pretend to be a knight of King Arthur's Round Table fighting dragons or even pretending to be a cowboy from the Wild West. The child will play safely in playhouses molded from plastic strong enough to be capable of handling the onslaught of the most ferocious dragon, or the attack of marauding outlaw raiders. Playhouses can be found that resemble log cabins, convenience stores, airports, and stone castles.
4. Outdoor playgrounds allow children to exercise their bodies.
Creative play is important to developing minds. Creative healthy outdoor play is important to developing healthy minds and bodies. Along with the focus on watching what children eat to fight obesity, exercise is equally as important. Children are bundles of energy and that energy needs to be focused toward safe play. Playground equipment should be designed with ways to expend the energy in healthy and safe ways.
